Our Time Together
Will Radically Shift Your Life
My work as a psychotherapist is deeply rooted in each body as a container of infinite intelligence. It is rooted in supporting that intelligence to come alive and express itself as your truth.
My gift in this world is to help you pinpoint the wounds & patterns holding you back while creating the conditions for you to embody and create a liberated life.
Reimagining what’s possible for our lives starts with reimagining the entire paradigm:
How can we bring back ceremony and living deeply with community without being appropriative and triggered?
How do we learn to honor our collective grief as a necessary and vital part of our evolution?
How do we heal as a society post covid shock?
What is being asked of each of us individually and how does this relate to our role in the wider web of life?
How do we live authentically in a culture of internalized capitalism?
How do we orient towards ritual in a world that moves so fast?
How do we live peacefully in our modern world designed around constant inundation and contact from our phones and the internet?
How do we heal and work with the fact that we elected a primary narcissist to be our president?
How doe we reclaim our connection to the Earth, to the unseen & to the animism of life as part of our collective liberation?
Hear me when I say this: Messy is an integral part of change
& whatever you bring will be celebrated.
There is no “one-size-fits-all” in my world.
BODY CENTERED THERAPY
with a paced, direct & lovingly held approach
I show up as someone that knows when to be gentle but also knows when to push and you can trust that the discomfort that arises will be held skillfully in the relational field. These skills will guide you towards a shift. I know how to show up in a way that gets you the results you’ve been craving but haven’t gotten from other therapists.
When I decide to work with someone it’s not something I take lightly:
I show up in your life as an ally and a catalyst of change.
Your Body has a Voice. I give it Space to Speak.
My approach is highly effective:
>I ask lots of questions and provide lots of feedback in order to pinpoint what is holding you back;
why you do things the way you do, why you feel the way you feel, what has contributed to this
>Together we uncover and bring awareness to patterns, beliefs, internal family dynamics,
past traumas, attachment styles, systemic influences, ancestral healing.
>I help you begin to feel and unravel those patterns through the body & nervous system. I have many tools for this.
>Then, once you’re connected to your truth beyond those patterns, we help you write a new story for your life.
>Hands on nervous system support via craniosacral therapy. It helps you work the trauma and attachment wounds on a very deep level. It is revitalizing and helps to further unwind patterns and restore the health.
Integration is Everything!
My clients tell me all the time that what they love about my work is the
focus on weaving what we uncover in our sessions into their lives
Supporting the evolution of heart-centered humans is one of my greatest joys.
Know that the skills and the medicine I carry will be uniquely tailored to your journey.
I look forward to guiding you as you cross the precipice into a newfound sense of wholeness.
As we work together, you’ll step into the
possibility that your body knows exactly
what it needs & that those needs are
entry points into what you’re desiring.
You’ll learn to move through the world from a place of being deeply connected to yourself and your desires. This level of attunement will generate the capacity for a life of passion, purpose and authentic expression.
What my clients have to say:
"I came into my sessions with Jen as an individual who couldn't comprehend taking pauses. Unknowingly to me, my day to day life always had an intense sense of urgency, self-deprecation, lack of self-awareness, and constant unkindness to myself.
Through my time working with Jen she gave me the tools to discover that for myself and slowly uncover what I needed, who I was, and how to live with a kinder perspective for myself through powerful and deep conversations and exercises; if I needed to cry and breathe for a whole session (even if I didn't know that was what I needed) Jen would make space for that. Most importantly, Jen showed me the power of embracing and accepting who you are. Jen is extremely smart, intuitive, kind, and patient. She was always present, always invested, and showed up for me every session."
-JZ
"Jen changed the game for me. She opened up a recognition of myself that is allowing me to understand how I operate in the world and is CRITICAL as I move forward with one of the largest soul-inspired business ventures I've been gearing up towards for many lifetimes."

What’s in my toolbox?
Somatic Therapy -
Our bodies hold patterns and memories that affect recent, long term and generational patterns. The fullest form of transformation can be embodied when you dig into the patterns, memories and traumas stored in the body and reorient the body to something new. I have studied and trained under local Boulder treasures: John, Anna, Liz Chitty, Colorado School of Energy Studies, David Sawyer, Integrative Somatic Psychotherapist , Melissa Michaels, Director of SomaSource and Annie Brook, Somatic Psychotherapist. I curated these teachings because, body movement, the body mind connection, and rebirthing are foundational to my beliefs and therapeutic process.
Biodynamic Craniosacral -
I began my journey with Craniosacral work in 2018 and have since earned a Phd in the practice due to the length of the program because of Covid circumstances. Studying directly under and with John, Anna, and Liz Chitty at the Colorado School of Energy Studies has profoundly impacted the way I do therapy. Biodynamic Craniosacral is trauma informed touch that focuses on the anatomy, soft tissue and fluids of the body lining up with the breath of life - the heart-centered, stable, reliable presence arising from stillness that supports the expression of all of life. Tracking subtle energy and finding our way to the “sweet spot” together are skills I have honed over time and one of the reasons that my clients set me apart from other therapists they may have been to in the past.
Aromatherapy & Plant Medicine -
Plants and the natural world can become great allies in our healing journey. Having trained with the Wisdom of the Earth school of aromatherapy, I incorporate this medicine as a profound layer of support for my clients. Not only is this medicine highly effective but it is also a joy and a delight to incorporate. You can read more about my unique approach to using essential oils and learn about stand alone sessions, here.
Ancestral Healing -
This work has been an integral part of my own healing and bringing it into my practice is an honor. My intuitive gifts and the gifts passed down to me in my own lineage are woven into my decades long practice as a psychotherapist. The combination of these two approaches is potent and deeply effective for those that are ready for real and permanent change. The insight ancestral work brings into the therapeutic container is powerful and allows for us to reach for the roots of what ails you. There are gifts your own lineage is waiting to pass down to you and there are wounds there as well that once brought into the conscious realm can help illuminate so much of what feels mysterious or unnamable in our daily lives. I invite you to learn more about this work, here.
Social Justice Experience -
Diversity, equity, inclusion, privilege, power and oppression are not separate from the therapeutic process. Teaching and offering counseling in the public schools of San Francisco and New York City and developing and implementing social justice trainings for college students have both been highlights of my diversity work. This is an area on m path, I live by it, and it is applicable to the way I work. I held a seat on the Diversity Committee at University of Colorado at Boulder and presented at several Diversity Summits CU has held. I am a jewish white cis-woman whose pronouns are she/her. I believe there is no healing without a deeper knowledge of the power, privilege, and oppression that lives in the body of humanity and translates into our own bodies.
Spiritual Mentorship -
I’ve been studying the spirit /soul / body connection for most of my adult life. The first time I knew there was something more than me was on a hike in my early 20’s. I realized in that moment that praying to the mountains and the eagles made more sense to me than any other type of prayer. In 1998, I walked through the doors of my first yoga studio and there began my formal practice and study. Since then, I have studied yoga asana and philosophy extensively. I received my 500- hour ISHTA yoga certification in the early 2000’s. Shortly thereafter, I started to long for something that was less competitive than most asana seemed to be, so in 2006 I received my Anjali Restorative certification as an enhancement. Through Anjali, I found Douglas Brooks of Rajanaka Yoga with whom I have studied with since 2006. In 2010, I was initiated into Blue Throat Yoga.
